Privacy Policy
Overview
ToolPad is built to be privacy-first. Most tools run entirely in your browser. That means text you paste into a tool is processed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers (unless a tool explicitly says otherwise).
What we collect
We aim to collect as little data as possible. Data collected can depend on hosting, analytics, and advertising configuration.
- Tool input: We do not receive or store the content you paste when tools run locally. All tool processing happens in your browser.
- Basic technical logs: Hosting providers may record standard request logs (e.g., IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used and improve it. See the Google Analytics section below for details.
Google Analytics
What Google Analytics collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- Device and browser information (e.g., screen size, browser type)
- Approximate location (country/region level, not precise location)
- How you arrived at the site (referrer, search terms if available)
What Google Analytics does not collect:
- The text you paste into tools — this stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers or Google
- Personal information like your name or email address
- Precise location data
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can opt out of Google Analytics by:
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Disabling cookies in your browser settings
- Using a browser extension that blocks analytics
Advertising
We may display advertising to support hosting costs. Ads may be served by third-party networks that can collect information to provide personalised or non-personalised ads. Your pasted tool content is not shared with ad networks.
Data storage
Unless a tool explicitly says otherwise, tool inputs are not stored on our servers. Some optional preferences may be stored in your browser for convenience.
Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies.
Children's privacy
ToolPad is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, adding analytics or ads). When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
